The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rack server built for data-centre workloads. Dual Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors provide 32 threads at 2.4 GHz. Sixty-four GB of DDR4 ECC memory is installed across 24 DIMM slots. Two 600 GB 15K SAS drives and a P440 controller with 4 GB FBWC handle storage.

Redundant power and thermal design

Two hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 2U chassis uses managed airflow to cool both CPUs and the 16 drive bays. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics core draws minimal power and produces no audible fan noise under typical loads.

Expandable storage and memory platform

Sixteen SFF bays support up to 24 drives when the optional bay is added. The C610 chipset and 24 DIMM slots allow memory growth to 3 TB with registered DDR4 modules. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are available on the P440 controller. No operating system is included.
