This configuration suits buyers who need 12 large-form-factor 3.5-inch drive bays populated with two 1TB 7.2K SAS drives and hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 via the Smart HBA H240ar controller. It is not for buyers who need more than 48GB of memory, a second processor or additional drive bays beyond the 12 LFF front slots. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics provide basic management video only.

Single E5-2670v3 processor installed

The server includes one Xeon E5-2670v3 CPU with twelve cores and hyper-threading for 24 logical threads. The Intel C610 chipset supports a second processor to reach the 36-core maximum, but that processor is not installed. Memory runs at speeds up to 2400MT/s depending on the CPU capability. No operating system is included.
