SAS 12Gbps and SATA 6Gbps storage limits

The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides 12Gbps SAS and 6Gbps SATA connectivity to the eight 2.5-inch drive bays. Installed drives operate at 6Gbps SAS, so the backplane caps their throughput below the controller peak. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are supported, but the controller lacks cache, limiting write performance on parity arrays.

Redundant power and hot-swap bays

Dual 500W hot-swap power supplies deliver redundancy without shutting down the server. Eight SFF drive bays accept trays that slide in from the front, allowing drive changes while the system runs. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics output is limited to basic management console display.
