Portable SATA adapter for 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives

This USB 3.0 to SATA 22-pin adapter connects any standard 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA HDD or SSD to a computer through a USB 3.0 port. It is suited for users who need quick access to bare drives for backup, data recovery or drive upgrades without installing them internally. The included 12V 2A power adapter supplies enough power for both drive sizes.

Upgrades from USB 2.0 or SATA 1.5 and 3.0 Gbps links

The adapter supports USB 3.0 at up to 5 Gbps and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1. UASP support reduces processor overhead by 80 percent and can be 70 percent faster than traditional USB 3.0 when the host controller also supports UASP. The jump is worth it when moving large archives or cloning drives where sustained throughput matters.

Handles drives up to 12 TB

The converter works with SATA III drives at 6 Gbps and complies with serial ATA 2.0 standards. It comfortably handles 2.5 and 3.5 inch HDDs and SSDs up to 12 TB for file transfer, imaging or temporary external storage. It runs out when a drive exceeds the 12 TB limit or when the host lacks a USB 3.0 or UASP-capable port for full speed.
