Will the 2.5 inch 15mm U.2 U.3 drive fit in a legacy 7mm bay?
The drive is 15mm thick so it needs a 15mm bay or a 2.5 inch tray that accepts 15mm drives; a standard 7mm laptop bay will not accommodate it.
How can I confirm the PCIe 4.0 x4 link is active after installation?
In the OS device manager or a tool such as nvme-cli check that the link speed reads 16 GT/s and the link width reads x4; those values show the drive is running at PCIe 4.0 x4.
