Controls up to 16 servos with 12-bit precision via I2C on Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano

  • Control 16 servos simultaneously with 12-bit precision
  • 4096-step resolution per channel for smooth motion
  • Standard 40-pin GPIO header fits Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano
  • I2C interface uses only two pins for simple wiring
  • On-board 5 V regulator delivers up to 3 A from battery input

16-Channel Servo HAT for Raspberry Pi

This development board adds 16 PWM outputs to compatible single-board computers through the standard 40-pin GPIO header. It targets makers and engineers who need precise multi-servo control for robotics or automation projects. The board works with Raspberry Pi models from the Zero W through the 4B+ as well as the Jetson Nano developer kit.

Right-Angle Pinheader and 5 V 3 A Regulator

The right-angle pinheader keeps the HAT profile low while leaving the GPIO pins accessible for other add-ons. An on-board 5 V regulator supplies up to 3 A from a battery connected to the VIN terminal, so servo power does not have to come from the host board. Communication uses only two pins via the I2C bus, preserving the remaining GPIO for sensors or displays.

Upgrades from Single-Channel or Software PWM

Builders moving up from driving one or two servos directly from GPIO will gain 16 independent channels with 12-bit resolution and 4096 steps per channel. The jump is worth it when a project demands simultaneous, smooth motion across many axes without jitter or CPU overhead. Projects that need more than 16 channels or a different control protocol are not served by this board.

Jautājumi par šo preci

How many pins does the I2C interface actually use on the 40-pin GPIO header?

The board is I2C controlled and uses only 2 pins from the 40-pin GPIO extension header.

Does the right-angle pinheader fit the standard 40-pin GPIO layout on a Raspberry Pi 4B?

Yes, it has a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header that supports Raspberry Pi series boards including the 4B.

Do I need to enable I2C on the Raspberry Pi before the 16-channel driver will respond?

Yes, enable I2C in the Raspberry Pi configuration, then install the Python library and run the provided examples to control the 16-channel, 12-bit outputs.
