LORDWORLD PCIe to M.2 Adapter with PoE HAT for Raspberry Pi 5

SKU CH-JYS6-XQ1XH

Adds NVMe storage and Power over Ethernet to a Raspberry Pi 5 via a 16-pin PCIe link and 40-pin GPIO header, supporting 2230 and 2242 drives with up to 4.5 A at 5 V

  • Adds NVMe storage to Pi 5 via 16-pin PCIe
  • Powers Pi and drives through single 802.3 PoE cable
  • Stackable 40-pin GPIO header keeps HATs usable
  • Supports 2230 and 2242 M.2 drives in Gen2 or Gen3
  • 5 V rail delivers up to 4.5 A for extra devices

Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe M.2 PoE HAT

This LORDWORLD adapter adds an M.2 slot and Power over Ethernet to a Raspberry Pi 5 using its 16PIN PCIe interface. The 40PIN GPIO stackable header keeps the expansion bus free for additional HATs. It accepts 2230 and 2242 size solid-state drives running in Gen2 or Gen3 modes and supports booting the Pi 5 directly from the drive. IEEE 802.3af/at compliance delivers both network connectivity and power through a single cable.

Replaces separate PoE HAT and storage add-ons

Builders who currently power the Pi 5 from a wall adapter and attach storage via USB can consolidate both functions onto one board. The jump is worthwhile when a project needs faster, more reliable NVMe storage and simplified cabling in a networked enclosure. It is not suited for setups that must run without Ethernet infrastructure or that require M.2 form factors other than 2230 or 2242.

Stacks on the 40PIN header with no soldering

Installation consists of aligning the 16PIN PCIe connector and pressing the board onto the GPIO header, then securing the M.2 drive with its retaining screw. The 5V header can supply up to 4.5A output within a 25W total budget for 12V and 5V combined. Problems usually arise when the PoE switch cannot negotiate 802.3af/at or when the attached drive exceeds the power budget, causing unstable boot or throttled performance.

Jautājumi par šo preci

What M.2 drive lengths fit on the board?

The adapter accepts 2230 and 2242 size M.2 solid-state drives.

How does the HAT attach to the Raspberry Pi 5?

It plugs into the 16-pin PCIe connector and uses the standard 40-pin GPIO stackable header.

What ongoing power checks are needed after installation?

Verify the 5 V header stays within 4.5 A and total 12 V plus 5 V draw does not exceed 25 W when adding peripherals.
