The LUOM OZU8 is a USB multimedia controller knob designed for desktop users who want tactile volume control and quick mute access. It connects via USB and works immediately on Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 and Mac OS without installing drivers. The aluminium alloy body weighs 0.25kg and measures 97x61x17mm.
Three control modes and physical limits
Rotating the knob adjusts system volume, a single press mutes or unmutes audio, and a press-and-hold plus rotation skips tracks forward or backward. The heavy base with four anti-slip mats keeps the unit stationary during use. The removable USB-to-USB-C cable allows replacement if damaged, but the device offers no display, no per-application mixing and no hardware equalisation.
USB interface constraints
The controller draws power and communicates over a standard USB connection compatible with USB 3.0, Micro USB and Type-C ports via the supplied cable. It has no internal battery, so it functions only while plugged into a powered host. There is no onboard memory for profiles, and the knob cannot control hardware amplifier gain or external DAC settings.
