PCIe to M.2 HAT for Raspberry Pi 5
The MCDODO X1001 is a PCIe peripheral board that adds an M.2 Key‑M slot to a Raspberry Pi 5. It connects via the board's PCIe FFC ribbon cable and accepts NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. A copper pillar is included for the shorter drive sizes. The Raspberry Pi 5 itself is not included.

This HAT suits owners of a Raspberry Pi 5 (2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16GB) who want to boot from or store data on an NVMe SSD. It is not for users of earlier Pi models, nor for builds that cannot accommodate the required FFC cable connection. The matching enclosure is the P579M2 case.
Requires 27 W USB‑C PD power supply
Stable operation depends on powering the Pi 5 with the official 27 W USB‑C PD supply (5.1 V / 5 A). Standard phone chargers may not deliver enough current for the NVMe SSD, risking instability or data loss. Correct OS configuration and firmware‑SSD compatibility are also essential.
