Lead-acid battery charger

The Mean Well PB-300P-24 is a 300 W single-output charger designed for lead-acid batteries. It delivers 28.8 V at 10.5 A and operates from AC 115 V or 230 V selected by a switch. The unit uses free-air convection cooling and includes a two-colour LED loading indicator. It suits workshops, backup power systems and industrial equipment that rely on lead-acid chemistry.

Replaces linear or single-stage chargers

A three-stage charging profile reduces gassing and extends battery life compared with basic constant-voltage units. The jump is worth it when batteries cycle frequently or sit on float charge for long periods. Built-in protections against short circuit, reverse polarity, over voltage and over temperature protect both the charger and the connected bank. Passive PFC to EN61000-3-2 Class A is available as an option.

Limited to lead-acid chemistry

The fixed 28.8 V output and three-stage algorithm are tailored to lead-acid cells and cannot charge lithium, nickel or other chemistries safely. No communication interface or programmable parameters are provided, so integration with battery-management systems requires external circuitry. The AT form factor fits standard industrial enclosures but offers no redundancy or parallel operation.
