The Orico 2.5-inch USB-C enclosure accepts a single SATA hard drive or SSD up to 6 TB. It connects over USB Type-C at SATA 6 Gbps speeds and requires no external power adapter. The blue plastic shell holds 7 mm or 9.5 mm drives and includes internal EVA foam for shock protection. Tool-free assembly lets you swap drives in seconds.
Upgrade from USB 3.0 enclosures
This model moves from the older USB 3.0 interface to USB-C with UASP protocol support, cutting protocol overhead for sustained transfers. The jump is worth it when your laptop or desktop has a native USB-C port and you want the full SATA III throughput without a legacy Type-A cable. It also adds TRIM pass-through so SSDs maintain write performance over time.
Build integration
