What this enclosure does

The Orico NVMe SSD enclosure turns a single M.2 PCIe NVMe M-Key or M+B-Key drive into an external USB-C device. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors and is finished in rose-gold aluminium. The package includes a dual-ended cable with USB-C to A and USB-C to C connectors for computers, phones, consoles and tablets.

40 Gbps USB 4.0 interface

The enclosure uses a USB 4.0 Type-C port rated at 40 Gbps. Lab measurements show sequential reads up to 2800 MB/s and writes up to 2100 MB/s with a capable drive. Real-world throughput depends on the installed SSD, the host port generation and system performance.

Capacity and thermal headroom

The single bay supports drives up to 4 TB. An aluminium cooling vest, silicone thermal pad and striped shell increase dissipation area so sustained transfers stay stable. New SSDs must be formatted and partitioned before first use; exFAT is recommended for cross-platform compatibility.
