DDR3 1333 registered limits

DDR3 1333 registered DIMMs operate at a fixed 1.5 V and cannot be mixed with unbuffered or non-ECC modules. The registered buffer adds one clock cycle of latency and requires a memory controller that supports registered operation. Systems limited to lower speeds will down-clock the kit, while boards without registered support will not post. Buyers who want higher frequencies or lower voltages must choose a different memory type.
