Server ECC RDIMM Upgrade
This OWC module provides 16GB of DDR3 ECC registered memory for specific HP ProLiant servers. It operates at 1333MHz with CL9 latency and 1.5V power. The 240-pin RDIMM uses a 2Rx4 organisation and has no heat spreader.
For ProLiant Servers Only
The module suits HP ProLiant DL585 G7, ML370 G6, SL160s G6 and SL160s G7 systems that require registered ECC DDR3. It will not work in standard desktops or workstations that use unbuffered memory, and it cannot be mixed with unbuffered DIMMs.
Simple DIMM Installation
Installation follows the server's standard DIMM slot procedure; align the notch and press until the latches click. The main risk is inserting the module into a system that expects unbuffered memory, which prevents boot and can damage the slot.
