This 64GB DDR5 4800 CL40 registered ECC module is built for Lenovo ThinkStation P7 and PX workstations. It delivers error-correcting, registered memory required by those platforms. Standard desktop computers cannot use this module. It also cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced ECC memory.

Installation requires matching registered ECC slots

The 288-pin DDR5 form factor fits the workstation's registered DIMM slots. Because it is registered ECC, it must not be combined with unbuffered or load-reduced modules. Systems that do not support registered ECC will not post with this module installed. Verify the platform accepts registered ECC before purchasing.

DDR5 4800 sets the speed ceiling

The module operates at DDR5 4800 (PC5-38400) with CL40 latency at 1.1V. Registered ECC operation adds command buffering that standard unbuffered memory does not have. Workloads needing higher bandwidth or lower latency than the JEDEC 4800 baseline will not gain from this module alone.
