This Solidigm D7-P5620 drive provides 12.8TB of storage in a U.2 15mm form factor using 144L TLC 3D NAND. It connects via a PCI-Express 4.0 interface and delivers sequential reads up to 7100 MBps and writes up to 3700 MBps. Random performance reaches 1000000 IOPS read and 374000 IOPS write. The drive is rated for 65.4 PBW endurance and a 2000000-hour MTBF. It targets data-centre and server workloads needing high-capacity, high-throughput flash storage.
Verify that your server or storage array accepts a U.2 15mm 2.5-inch drive and that the backplane provides a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 link. Confirm the system can supply up to 20W active power and 5W idle power for the drive. Ensure the operating environment stays within the specified shock limit of 1000 G at .5 msec and vibration limits of 2.17 GRMS operating and 3.13 GRMS non-operating. The drive weighs 165g with a tolerance of 5g.
The U.2 15mm form factor fits standard 2.5-inch hot-swap bays, freeing M.2 slots for other devices. A PCIe 4.0 x4 connection is required to reach the quoted throughput figures.
