Standalone SATA Drive Eraser
The StarTech SDOCK1EU3P2 is a standalone hard drive eraser and dock for 2.5in and 3.5in SATA SSDs and HDDs. It wipes drives securely without connecting to a host computer. The unit supports nine erase modes including NIST SP 800-88 Rev1 standards. An integrated LCD screen displays erase progress and completion status.
4Kn SATA Compatibility
This eraser dock accepts most 2.5in and 3.5in SATA drives including 4Kn sector drives. It uses two internal SATA data and power combo receptacles for drive connection. The external host interface is a USB 3.0 Type-B connector for docking use. A DB9 serial port allows connection to an RS232 printer for erase confirmation receipts.
Fanless 60 W Operation
The unit operates without a fan for silent operation during erase cycles or docking. Power is supplied by an included universal AC adapter rated for 110 to 240 V AC input and 12 V DC 5 A output. Maximum power consumption is 60 W. The steel and plastic enclosure measures 5.50 x 4.80 x 2.80 inches and weighs 1.45 lbs.
