The APC Smart-UPS X SMX1000 is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply rated at 1000 VA and 800 W with pure sine-wave output. It accepts 120 V input through a NEMA 5-15P plug and provides eight NEMA 5-15R outlets for connected equipment. The unit operates as a tower or converts to a 2U rackmount form factor with optional rails.

8.1 minutes at full load runtime

At the maximum 800 W load the internal sealed lead-acid battery delivers 8.1 minutes of backup time before shutdown. Recharging the battery to full capacity takes approximately three hours after a discharge event. Audible alarms signal low-battery and overload conditions so operators can respond before power is lost.

Smart-Slot and USB management ports

A Smart-Slot bay and a USB port provide the only communication interfaces for monitoring and control cards or direct computer connection. The input voltage window spans 82 to 143 V at 50 or 60 Hz with automatic frequency sensing. Extended runtime requires the separate SMX48RMBP2U battery pack, which is not included with the UPS.
