Compact ATmega328 board for breadboard prototypes

The A000005 is a small, breadboard-friendly development board built around the ATmega328 microcontroller. It targets hobbyists and students who need a compact platform for learning embedded programming or building portable IoT edge devices. Power is supplied through a Mini-B USB connector instead of a DC jack, keeping the footprint minimal for tight enclosures.

16 KB flash with 2 KB bootloader and 1 KB SRAM

The board provides 16 KB of flash memory, of which 2 KB is reserved for the bootloader, leaving about 14 KB for user sketches. SRAM is 1 KB and EEPROM is 512 bytes, so projects with large buffers or heavy libraries will run out of memory quickly. The 16 MHz clock speed handles simple control loops and sensor polling, but not real-time signal processing or high-speed data logging.

5 V logic with 40 mA per I/O pin and USB power

Operating voltage is 5 V and the board accepts a maximum supply of 6 to 20 V through the USB or VIN pins. Each digital I/O pin can source or sink 40 mA, while the 3.3 V regulator is limited to 50 mA total. With no onboard cooling and very low power draw, the board runs silently and stays cool during normal operation, making it suitable for always-on sensor nodes.

FeaturesThe A000005 is an Arduino Nanoboard which is a small, breadboard-friendly board based on the ATmega328 (Arduino Nano 3.0) or ATmega168 (Arduino Nano 2.x). It has similar functionality to the Arduino Duemilanove, but in a different package. It lacks only a DC power jack and is instead powered through the Mini-B USB connector. The Nano was designed and is being produced by Gravitech.

Bu ürünle ilgili sorular

Will the 5 V ATmega328 board talk directly to my 3.3 V sensors without a level shifter?

The I/O pins run at 5 V, so 3.3 V parts need a level shifter or divider to avoid damage.

How can I confirm the ATmega328 is running at 16 MHz after I upload a sketch?

Blink the built-in LED at a known rate or print the clock speed over the Mini-B USB serial port.

Does the box include a Mini-B USB cable and header pins, or must I buy them separately?

The board ships with header pins; a Mini-B USB cable is not included and must be sourced separately.
