SATA SSD and SAS controller limits

The PERC H730 controller supports SAS and SATA drives with RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. SATA 6 Gb/s SSDs saturate the link at queue depths common in database and virtualisation workloads. The 12 Gb/s SAS backplane does not accelerate SATA devices beyond their native 6 Gb/s rate.
