It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 48 slots and includes a PERC H730P controller with battery-backed cache. Dual 1600 W platinum power supplies, iDRAC9 Enterprise, quad-port networking and rails are factory-installed.

Memory capacity and storage headroom

The platform supports up to 6 TB of DDR4 across 48 DIMM slots, leaving substantial room beyond the 128 GB installed. Eight 300 GB 10K SAS drives occupy the 2.5-inch bays and the H730P handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Workloads needing larger capacity or all-flash arrays will require additional drives or a different chassis.

LGA 3647 socket constraint

The board uses the LGA 3647 socket paired with the Intel C620 chipset, limiting processor upgrades to the same socket generation. Buyers planning future CPU changes must select compatible Xeon Scalable parts; other socket families will not fit.
