This LORDWORLD M2PV adapter turns a PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD into an external drive over a 10 Gbps USB-C link. It accepts M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths up to 8 TB. The Realtek RTL 9210 controller handles the bridge with UASP support for lower latency.
Bundled cables and driver-free operation
A USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable are included so the enclosure works with either port style on laptops, desktops, smartphones or a PS4. Windows, macOS and Linux recognise the device immediately without extra drivers. Hot-swap capability lets you change drives without powering down the host.
Speed ceiling and compatibility limits
Sequential transfers can exceed 900 MB/s with a fast NVMe drive, but the 10 Gbps interface caps sustained throughput below the drive's native PCIe potential. The enclosure rejects M.2 SATA SSDs, PCIe AHCI SSDs and Apple proprietary modules, so buyers with those drive types need a different adapter. New drives must be formatted before first use.
