This OWC kit delivers 256 GB of DDR4 2933 registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules. It is built for the Dell PowerEdge C4140 with SkyLake CPUs and will not work in standard desktop PCs. Each module runs at 1.2 V with CL21 latency and a 2Rx4 organisation. The registered buffer and error-correcting code suit workloads that demand data integrity.

Fits C4140 memory slots directly

The 288-pin RDIMMs install into the server’s existing DIMM sockets without adapters or risers. Backward compatibility with 2133, 2400 and 2666 MHz buses lets the kit run in mixed-speed configurations if required. Because the modules are registered ECC, they cannot be mixed with unbuffered or load-reduced DIMMs; the platform must support registered ECC throughout. Eight modules populate the full channel set for maximum bandwidth.
