PCIe 3.0 lane budget and memory ceiling
Two full-length PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and one x8 slot share the processor's lane budget, so populating all three limits each to x8 or x4 electrically. Six 288-pin DDR4 slots support RDIMM, LRDIMM and 3DS LRDIMM up to 2666 MT/s with maximum capacities of 192 GB, 384 GB and 768 GB respectively.
Dual 10GBase-T and twelve SATA ports on a Micro
The board integrates Intel X722 and X557 controllers for two RJ45 10GBase-T ports plus an Aspeed AST2500 BMC with dedicated VGA. Twelve SATA 6.0 Gb/s connectors provide RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 without an add-in card, while a single M.2 mini-PCIe slot accepts 2242 or 2280 modules for PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA storage.
