Single-unit mesh node
The Deco X20 is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh node sold as a single unit that can function as a router or access point. It targets homes up to 2,200 square feet where a single device can replace an older standalone router and extender combo. The Qualcomm quad-core CPU handles traffic for multiple simultaneous connections.
AX1800 dual-band limits
The node delivers 1,201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band using 1024-QAM and OFDMA. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports serve as configurable WAN or LAN links, capping wired throughput at 1 Gbps. Transmit power follows FCC and CE limits, and the unit operates between 0 °C and 40 °C with up to 90 % humidity.
Upgrade from single-router setups
This unit replaces a traditional router plus separate extender by creating a unified mesh that supports seamless roaming and self-healing paths. Adding further Deco X20 nodes expands coverage without reconfiguration. The jump is worth it when dead zones persist despite a centrally placed legacy router.
