The Vertiv Liebert PSA5-500MT120 is a line-interactive battery backup rated at 500 VA and 300 W on a 120 V supply. It suits home-office PCs, routers and small NAS units that need short-duration ride-through during utility dips. Five outlets provide both battery and surge protection while five more deliver surge-only coverage for less-critical loads. Two USB charging ports add convenience for phones or tablets.

Plug-and-play setup with LCD guidance

Installation is straightforward: connect the NEMA 5-15P input cord to a wall receptacle, then attach equipment to the ten NEMA 5-15R outlets. The built-in LCD panel shows run time, load percentage, battery health and input/output voltage and frequency, helping avoid overload mistakes. Free management software enables USB notifications and orderly shutdown. Transformer-block plugs fit two dedicated outlets, reducing adapter crowding.

Steady output through voltage swings

Automatic voltage regulation corrects brownouts and over-voltages between 86 V AC and 143 V AC without draining the battery, preserving the VRLA cells for true outages. At full 300 W load the unit runs for two minutes; at half load it extends to eight minutes. A 316-joule surge rating absorbs transient spikes.
