The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors running at 2.3 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across four 32 GB modules. A PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages four 1.92 TB SATA SSDs. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC 9 Express remote management complete the platform.

Virtualisation and database workloads

The 24 combined cores and 128 GB memory suit virtualisation hosts running VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox, as well as SQL Server and other database workloads.
