The Diablotek PSDA500 is a 500 W ATX power supply designed for entry-level and mainstream desktop builds. It provides a single +12 V rail rated at 17 A alongside +3.3 V and +5 V rails rated at 15 A each. Twin 80 mm fans move air through the unit to keep internal temperatures in check during normal operation. This unit suits builders assembling a new system or replacing a failed unit in a standard ATX chassis.

Check ATX case fit and connector needs before

Verify that the chassis accepts a standard ATX form factor measuring 5.8 inches by 6 inches by 3.5 inches. The main motherboard connector is a 20+4 pin design and a single 4-pin ATX 12 V plug is included for CPU power. Only one 6+2 pin PCI Express connector is provided so graphics cards requiring two such plugs cannot be powered. Four SATA power connectors and four peripheral connectors are available alongside a floppy connector for legacy devices.

Sustained load behaviour with twin 80 mm cooling

Under continuous load the single +12 V rail delivers up to 17 A while the minor rails hold at 15 A each within the 500 W total limit. The dual 80 mm fans run constantly to exhaust heat generated during prolonged operation. Input voltage switches between 115 V and 230 V at 50 or 60 Hz to match local mains supply. The unit does not carry an energy-efficient certification so efficiency under heavy sustained draw will be lower than certified designs.
