This 5 MP camera module uses the Omnivision OV5647 sensor to capture still images at 2592 x 1944 resolution and records video at up to 1080p. It connects directly to the CSI port on Raspberry Pi 5, 4, 3, 3B+ and other A/B series boards, making it suitable for hobbyists and developers adding vision to their projects. The fixed-focus lens covers general-purpose imaging without manual adjustment. Pi Zero models are not supported.

During extended recording sessions the sensor maintains 1080p output without dropping frames, provided the host board can keep up with the data rate.
