The Supermicro CSE-825TQC-R1K03LPB is a 2U rackmount server chassis built for general-purpose and data-centre deployments. It accommodates ATX and E-ATX motherboards up to 13.68 by 13 inches and supports single or dual Intel and AMD processors. Eight 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays connect through a 12 Gbps SAS3 backplane with SGPIO signalling. Redundant 1000 W Titanium-certified power supplies provide 96 percent-plus efficiency with PMBus 1.2 and I2C monitoring.
Eight SAS3 bays and redundant Titanium power
The 12 Gbps SAS3 backplane handles eight 3.5-inch SAS or SATA drives simultaneously, delivering full bandwidth to each bay. Two redundant 1000 W Titanium units share the load, so a single supply failure leaves the system running without interruption. Each supply meets 80 PLUS Titanium certification at 96 percent-plus efficiency, reducing heat output and operating cost. The chassis also includes two fixed 3.5-inch bays for additional internal storage.
Seven low-profile slots and three PWM fans
Seven low-profile expansion slots allow add-in cards such as RAID controllers or network adapters while maintaining the 2U height. Three 80 mm heavy-duty fans with PWM speed control move air across the motherboard and drive cage, adjusting automatically to thermal load. Front-panel LEDs report power status, drive activity, dual network activity, power-fail and system information. The unit ships as a chassis only; CPU, motherboard, memory and drives must be supplied separately.
