The Transcend 110S is a 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe solid-state drive built for laptops and desktops. It connects through a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and follows the NVMe 1.3 specification. Sequential reads reach up to 1,700MB/s and writes up to 1,500MB/s. LDPC coding protects data integrity across the 3D NAND flash.

Upgrading from a SATA drive

This drive replaces a SATA-based SSD or hard drive when the system has an M.2 slot wired for PCIe. The jump is worth it for workloads that saturate the SATA bus, such as large file transfers or heavy multitasking. Systems limited to SATA signalling or lacking an M.2 PCIe slot cannot use this drive. Buyers who need more than 2TB of capacity must look elsewhere.
