Upgrading from a SATA drive

This drive replaces a SATA-based SSD or hard drive when the system has an M.2 slot wired for PCIe. The jump is worth it for workloads that saturate the SATA bus, such as large file transfers or heavy multitasking. Systems limited to SATA signalling or lacking an M.2 PCIe slot cannot use this drive. Buyers who need more than 2TB of capacity must look elsewhere.
