AMD X870E chipset platform
This ATX motherboard uses the AMD X870E chipset and AM5 socket to support Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors. It provides a 14 duet rail power system with 60A smart power stages for stable delivery. Dual channel DDR5 memory reaches 8200 MT/s when overclocked. The board targets builders who need a reliable foundation for current and upcoming AMD CPUs.
Suits high core count CPUs and fast storage
The 14 phase VRM and extended heatsinks handle the thermal load of 16 core Ryzen 9000 parts. Three M.2 slots include one Gen5 128 Gbps and two Gen4 64 Gbps connectors with shield frozr cooling. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 5G LAN cover modern networking. Builds limited to PCIe 3.0 add in cards or legacy SATA only drives will not use the full bandwidth.
PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for Ryzen 9000 and 7000
The primary PCI_E1 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x16 with Ryzen 9000 or 7000 series processors but drops to PCIe 4.0 x8 with Ryzen 8700 or 8600 and PCIe 4.0 x4 with Ryzen 8500 or 8300. This single lane width difference decides whether a flagship graphics card or Gen5 add in card can operate at its rated speed.
