This docking station accepts both 2.5in and 3.5in SATA hard drives and solid-state drives. It connects to a host over USB 3.0 with UASP support for faster data transfers. USB 3.0 Interface Limits at 5 Gbps
The external link runs at USB 3.0 speeds of 5 Gbps and falls back to USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps or USB 1.1 at 1.5 Mbps. UASP support reduces protocol overhead compared with traditional USB 3.0 bulk endpoints. SATA I, II and III drives are all accepted, but the USB 3.0 bus caps the maximum throughput regardless of the drive’s native SATA revision.
Tool-Free Insertion with Universal Power
Drives slide into the top-loading slot without screws or trays. A universal power adapter with NA, EU, UK and AU plugs is included alongside a USB 3.0 cable. The dock has no fan, so sustained heavy workloads on high-capacity mechanical drives may run warmer than in an actively cooled enclosure.
