USB 3.0 Interface Limits at 5 Gbps

The external link runs at USB 3.0 speeds of 5 Gbps and falls back to USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps or USB 1.1 at 1.5 Mbps. SATA I, II and III drives are all accepted, but the USB 3.0 bus caps the maximum throughput regardless of the drive’s native SATA revision.
