This new Dell PowerEdge R730xd is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors. Each CPU provides 10 cores at 2.6 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. Twenty-four 2.5-inch 1.2 TB 10K SAS drives connect through a PERC H730 1 GB controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

Suited For High-Density SAS Storage Nodes

The 24-bay chassis and dual 10-core CPUs make this server a match for database clusters, virtual desktop infrastructure or data-warehouse nodes that rely on SAS hard drives. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC 8 Enterprise simplify remote management.
