The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server built for workgroup collaboration, mail, file, print and web serving in small or remote offices. It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 14-core processors at 2.0 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo and 256 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory. The system includes a PERC H730 1 GB storage controller, dual 1 GbE ports, iDRAC8 Express and redundant 750 W platinum power supplies.

This configuration targets buyers who need a single-server platform for traditional office applications with room for internal SAS or SATA drives. It is not aimed at environments that require dense all-flash arrays, GPU acceleration or larger memory footprints beyond the 384 GB maximum. The chassis provides eight hot-swap trays connected to the H730 controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through.
