Sustained Multi-Drive Throughput

Under continuous load the PCIe 2.0 x8 link supplies 4Gbps per lane, giving a consistent pipe for multiple drives operating simultaneously. The SAS 2008 controller manages SAS 2.0 and SATA III devices with hot-swap support, so drive replacements do not interrupt the array.
