Dense 1U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rackmount server built for compute-dense environments. It ships with dual Intel Xeon E5-2640 v3 processors, each running at 2.6 GHz with eight cores, and 64 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA connectivity with hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Two hot-swap 500 W redundant power supplies are included.

Fits virtualisation hosts, not GPU farms

This configuration suits organisations that need high core counts and large memory capacity in a single rack unit for virtualisation, database or high-performance computing workloads. The Matrox G200 graphics with 16 MB video memory only supports basic console output, so buyers who require GPU acceleration for rendering, AI training or VDI should look elsewhere. No drives are installed and the eight 2.5-inch bays accept SAS or SATA media only.

24 DIMM slots capped at 64 GB installed

The system board provides 24 DDR4 DIMM slots, twelve per processor, supporting modules up to 2400 MT/s. Although the platform can address up to 3 TB, this unit arrives with 64 GB already populated, leaving the remaining slots available for expansion. Memory speed will depend on the installed processor capability.
