It runs at a 3.5 GHz base frequency and supports DDR5-6400 memory across eight channels with a maximum capacity of 4 TB. The processor includes 48 MB of L3 cache and 88 lanes of PCIe 5.0 for high-speed I/O.
The chip carries a 150 W thermal design power and ships without a cooling device, so system integrators must provide a suitable server-grade cooler. Intel’s 3 nm manufacturing process helps manage power density across the Granite Rapids cores during typical workloads. Hyper-Threading and Intel UPI links running at 24 GT/s add throughput without increasing the rated thermal envelope.
Under continuous load the processor maintains an all-core turbo frequency of 4.3 GHz across all eight cores rather than dropping to a lower steady state. Instruction sets including AVX-512 and AMX accelerate vector and matrix operations for extended compute tasks. The 2S scalability limit means the part is not intended for four-socket or larger configurations.
