The 10 nm Sapphire Rapids architecture includes Intel AMX, AVX-512 and AVX2 instruction sets for heavy parallel workloads.
Moving to this single-socket 56-core part replaces older multi-socket deployments when thread density and memory bandwidth per socket are the bottleneck. The jump is worth it when software licensing scales per socket and the 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes can consolidate accelerator cards.
