The Lenovo ThinkSystem PM1655 is a 1.6 TB enterprise solid-state drive built for ThinkSystem servers and the ThinkStation P920 Rack. It uses a 2.5-inch hot-swap form factor and hardware-based TCG Enterprise encryption to protect data at rest. The drive targets IT teams that need reliable, secure storage inside supported Lenovo platforms.
SAS 12Gb/s interface limits
The SAS 12Gb/s interface caps maximum throughput at 12 Gb/s, so sustained transfer rates cannot exceed that link speed. The 2.5-inch hot-swap tray only fits bays designed for that form factor, and the drive requires a compatible backplane and controller to operate. Systems without SAS infrastructure cannot use this SSD.
