This 3inch E-Paper module (G) provides a 400x168 resolution display capable of showing red, yellow, black and white pixels. It targets makers and engineers building low-power IoT edge devices or development boards that require a persistent, paper-like readout without constant power draw.
The board uses a standard SPI interface for communication with controllers such as Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, Arduino and STM32 platforms. An onboard voltage translator handles logic-level conversion, making it directly compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers without extra components.
Power is only consumed during screen refresh cycles, allowing the last displayed image to remain visible indefinitely after power is removed. The four-colour e-ink technology inherently updates slower than LCD or OLED panels, so it is unsuitable for animations, video playback or interfaces requiring rapid real-time changes.
