The LORDWORLD HAT adds four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports to a Raspberry Pi 5 through its 16‑pin PCIe connector. Makers and embedded developers can attach storage, cameras or other high‑speed peripherals without driver installation. The board targets projects that need more USB bandwidth than the Pi’s native ports provide.
An integrated power‑monitoring chip and EEPROM give real‑time visibility of USB port power status and allow software‑controlled port power switching. A reserved airflow vent accommodates an optional cooling fan, helping the Pi 5 maintain stable temperatures under sustained peripheral loads. No active cooling is included on the HAT itself.
The module mounts directly on the Pi 5’s GPIO header as a standard HAT and connects via the supplied 16‑pin PCIe ribbon cable. Four Type‑A receptacles face outward for easy cable routing in enclosures. Builders who need internal header connectors or more than four ports will require a different solution.
