Synology FS3410 ECC memory kit

This 64GB kit uses two 32GB DDR4 2666MHz registered DIMMs built for the Synology FlashStation FS3410 NAS. ECC and registered signalling protect data integrity in continuous server workloads. The modules run at 1.2V with CL19 latency and a 2Rx4 rank structure. They install in the standard 288-pin DDR4 slots provided by the platform.

Upgrade from non-ECC or lower capacity

Replacing unbuffered non-ECC memory removes the single-bit error risk that can corrupt databases or file systems under heavy load. Moving from 32GB or smaller configurations to 64GB lets the NAS cache more metadata and serve more concurrent users without swapping. The jump is worth it when the unit runs virtual machines, container clusters or large-volume backup jobs that exceed the current memory ceiling.

DDR4 RDIMM platform limits

Registered DDR4 modules require a memory controller that supports buffered signalling; they will not function in desktop or consumer laptop boards that expect unbuffered DIMMs. Maximum capacity and population rules are defined by the FS3410 motherboard and BIOS, not by the kit itself. The 2666MHz speed is the rated JEDEC frequency; actual throughput depends on the system memory controller and slot configuration.
