Hard-tube fitting for 16 mm PETG loops
The Alphacool Eiszapfen PRO is a G1/4 compression fitting designed for 16 mm PETG hard tubing in custom water-cooling builds. It targets builders who want a secure seal without relying on standard O-ring pressure alone. The deep black finish matches dark-themed loops. A single fitting is supplied in the package.
Nylon insert reinforces tube against heat
The fitting uses an internal nylon insert that stabilises the hard tube from the inside while a compression seal grips the outside. This dual reinforcement prevents the tube from slipping even when coolant temperatures approach 60 °C, where PETG can begin to soften. The larger contact area of the seal improves hold compared with conventional O-rings. No special tools are required beyond standard G1/4 threading.
Tested to over 8 kg tensile load
Alphacool reports the joint withstands more than 8 kg of pulling force, giving ample headroom for vibration or case movement. The design is not recommended for use with Bitspower brand tubing, so builders using that tubing should choose a different fitting. The fitting adds no flow restriction beyond the normal G1/4 port. It suits single-loop builds where long PETG runs must stay rigid.
