Apple 12+16 pin SSD adapter
This enclosure connects original Apple 12+16 pin AHCI SSDs from 2013 to 2017 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro models to a USB-C host. An included M.2 2280 adapter also allows NVMe drives to be used in the same enclosure. It is intended for data recovery or repurposing a removed module.
Critical compatibility constraint
The enclosure only accepts Apple 12+16 pin AHCI SSDs and M.2 NVMe drives; it does not support Toshiba 12+16 pin SSDs, SATA SSDs or any NVMe-protocol Apple drive. Macs running macOS Sonoma are not supported. Buyers must verify the drive pinout and protocol before purchase.
Straightforward installation
A captive screwdriver and a short USB-C cable with a Type-A adapter are supplied so the drive can be secured and connected without extra tools. The aluminium case aids heat dissipation; disabling disk sleep in the host OS prevents unexpected disconnects during long transfers. Users who need to read Apple NVMe drives or Toshiba 12+16 pin modules cannot use this product.
