This bundle pairs an Intel Ultra 9 285K processor with an ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI S motherboard. The 125W CPU delivers 36MB L3 cache and 40MB L2 cache built on a 3nm process. The board provides an LGA 1700 socket and a 16+1+2 phase 70A DrMOS power design. Four DDR5 slots support up to 192GB of memory with XMP and AEMP II profiles.

Thermals Power and Noise

The motherboard uses dual VRM heatsinks linked by heat pipes to manage the 70A power stages during heavy loads. M.2 slots feature double-sided thermal armour to keep drive temperatures stable. AI Cooling II auto-tunes fan curves based on system temperature data. The included Shin-Etsu X-23-7868-2D thermal compound offers 6.2 W/m.k conductivity and 0.07 °C*cm^2/W resistance for efficient heat transfer from the CPU.

Build Connectors and Daily Use

The silver and white armour carries Polymo dynamic lighting compatible with AURA Sync ecosystems. Rear I/O supplies 12 USB ports including one 20Gbps Type-C, three 10Gbps ports, four 5Gbps ports and four 2.0 ports. Networking combines Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 5Gbps LAN and 2.5Gbps LAN. Five M.2 slots and four SATA 6Gb/s ports provide extensive storage expansion. The board also includes PCIe 5.0 x16 and PCIe 4.0 x16 slots for graphics and add-in cards.
