Will these two 8 GB DDR3L 1600 CL11 modules work together with any original 4 GB DDR3L sticks I keep in my Asus N550Jk?

The kit is validated for the N550Jk, N551Jk and N551Jm. If the existing modules are also DDR3L 1.35 V 1600 MHz CL11 unbuffered non-ECC they will usually run together at the lowest common speed, but the notebook only has two slots so you must replace both.

How can I confirm the memory is running at 1600 MHz with CL11 timing after installation?

Open Task Manager → Performance → Memory or run CPU-Z; both will show 1600 MHz and 11-11-11 timings when the kit is operating as specified.

Does the package contain only the two SODIMM sticks or are tools and a manual included?
