It provides direct 4K ProRes HDR recording without intermediate transfers. The drive also works with Windows, macOS, Linux, gaming consoles and other USB-C devices.

USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface limits real-world speed

The drive uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connection rated at 20 Gbps. Sequential reads reach up to 1600 MBps and writes up to 1500 MBps only when the host port supports the same standard. Older USB-C or USB-A ports will fall back to lower speeds and the supplied USB-C to A adapter is limited to 10 Gbps.

Magnetic mount requires MagSafe-compatible phone

Secure attachment depends on the MagSafe array built into iPhone 15 Pro, 16 Pro and 17 Pro Max models. Phones without MagSafe, cases that block the magnets or Android devices cannot use the magnetic feature and must rely on a cable connection instead.
